Guardians of the Soul of the Analog Age – Zoran Predin & Nikola Čuturilo April 23 | BitefArtCafe

On April 23, the stage of BitefArtCafe will welcome two distinct artistic worlds that have been shaping the regional singer-songwriter and rock scene for decades. Their joint project, Analogna Rasa (“Analog Race”), created by Zoran Predin and Nikola Čuturilo, brings an evening of music born out of friendship, experience, and a shared need to preserve what endures in an era of fast-moving trends — the song, the word, and the author’s voice.

BitefArtCafe, a venue that has been nurturing live music and close artist-audience connections for over two decades, is the perfect setting for this kind of concert. In an intimate club atmosphere where every note reaches the audience directly, Predin and Čuturilo will present a project that unites two strong songwriting signatures and the spirit of an analog time.

Zoran Predin, one of Slovenia’s most prominent new wave singer-songwriters, known for his wit and distinctive artistic voice, and Nikola Čuturilo, a Belgrade-based songwriter whose authentic rock’n’roll sound reflects on social themes, are connected by a long-standing friendship and a shared dedication to creating music. Their joint project, Analogna Rasa, stands as a testament to timeless quality in a time when trends come and go at an ever-accelerating pace.

Analogna Rasa is a project of kindred spirits. Nikola and I decided almost forty years ago to collaborate on a musical project in a way that suits us best. Our ideas have now come to life, and we are excited to present our music and lyrics across the region to an audience that values substance over packaging,” explains Zoran Predin.

Analogna Rasa is not only the work of these two outstanding musicians. It also includes the band that has been performing with Nikola Čuturilo for over twenty years, as well as collaborations with internationally recognized artists such as Gradimir Smudja, who created the visual identity, and photographer Brian Rašić, who is behind the official photography.

“We called the project Analogna Rasa because it’s fun, inspiring, and because at this stage in life we become more aware of the passage of time. Zoran and I are dedicated artists who love to explore and create something new. We are truly in our best years — the band is young, full of energy, and driven by a deep love for music,” adds Nikola Čuturilo.

Following the release of their album Analogna Rasa in December 2024, along with successful premieres in Belgrade, Zagreb, and Ljubljana, and an intimate unplugged tour across Serbia, Predin and Čuturilo have continued their concert journey with the 025 TOUR, performing at festivals and clubs throughout the region.

The project Analogna Rasa has been awarded the “Neki Rok 2025” prize for achievements in rock music — a recognition given to artists who consistently nurture original rock music in their native language and contribute to the preservation and development of the regional rock scene.

Join us on April 23 at BitefArtCafe for an evening dedicated to song, original music, and the spirit of an analog age. It will be a unique opportunity to experience, up close, two artists whose songs have accompanied generations of listeners.
